THUNDERBIRD 3 PEAKS ROUTE

Take a hike through the rugged Thunderbird Mountains and reach the high point of all three of them!

TRAIL STATS

LENGTH: 7.3 MI
ELEVATION GAIN: 1,470 FT
ESTIMATED TIME: 3-5 HRS
DIFFICULTY: MODERATE

DESCRIPTION

This route connects all three mountains in the Thunderbird Mountain Regional Park. Usually, hikers visit the park to summit one of the mountains, but we’ve created a path that allows you to experience all of them.
Each of the peaks provide great views of the city to the South, and great views of the vast desert to the North. The mountains are filled with Saguaros and are known to be covered in greenery and wildflowers after a rainy season!
Summiting each mountain requires some climbing, but no inclines are incredibly steep. The trail does a good job of gradually making its way to the top of each of them.
Along with that, each mountain gets smaller as the trail goes on, ensuring that you will have no problem conquering each of them!
Our guide will take on navigation responsibilities as you relax and enjoy this beautiful hike!
